Wow. I went there to have a week away from life. I traveled from California and it was well worth it. This is the fanciest little place I have ever been. There are only 18 beds so it was really mellow and peaceful. The place is known for making one lazy and it did just that. I am usually a person who is all go, but I got there and just stopped. It was great. They took care of me completely. From the Auric Energy Work that is available there - to those of us who are into that kind of thing- to the fabulous food, to the softest towels that I have ever used, to the sweet people that work there and the opportunity to be there. I went during the winter so the pool was closed, but it was still very warm compared to my Berkeley summer!
I am a fussy eater and the chef was happy to improvise to make food that worked for my difficult diet. And it tasted GREAT!! I was fortunate to have qi gong lessons too. No children are allowed so it was a real break from my family life.
The internet was down while I was there, but I understand that they are setting up a corporate center for retreats so I think they are working hard to get that straightened out.
Nearby, they have access to setting up day trips to go horseback riding, golfing, walking (I dont know if they call it hiking in Africa, shopping, game hunting (they shoot with cameras now adays).
I highly recommend this place to kick back either by yourself in a retreat fashion or with a loved one.
All of my pictures are on a dead computer otherwise I would upload some.
