My partner and I were looking for a mini breakaway, but did not want to drive too far. We found Tshukudu Lodge on the internet and what attracted us immediatly was the fact that it was a small lodge and for us that wanted to get away from it all it was just what we wanted.
This was my first lodge experience and I was very impressed from the minute that we arrived. We were greated by friendly staff and our guide, Xander, was amazing. He took time to show us more than just the game. I did not only saw the big five but also learnt about the plant and bird life and even about tracking.
Xander was not caught up in rushing to sightings as they were called on the radio, but took his time to show us the wild life and perservered with his tracking, this made that we saw more in a short time and were able to take amazing pictures.
The staff at the lodge were very friendly and helpfull and the accomodation was excellent. The food was great and if it wasnt for the 132 steps I would have gained weight.
This lodge is defenately worth a second visit.
Well done staff of Tshukudu Lodge!
