“A must visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

I can't say enough good things about this place. The welcome, the lodge, the set up and the service are all outstanding. We only had one night, but Riaan and Jaqui made sure it was a good one. This place is a gem. You must go there. We will go back. Stunning.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

I went to Pretoria for a visit to en embassy, so I decided to have a short tour into Pilanesberg National park which is really worthwhile if you have not much time.
Me and my boyfriend have spent two nights in Morokolo Game Lodge.
Jacqui organized perfectly every detail of our trip, included the transfer from our hotel in Pretoria to Morokolo Game Lodge. Transfer by car was payable and took more or less 2.5 hours.
Once reached Pilanesberg we entered into Black Rhino Game Reserve, which is a restricted area of Pilanesberg reserved to guests who are lodged into one of the lodge of the reserve.

We had two game drives per day, one in the early morning, one in the evening (which is partially a kind of night game drive for 15 minutes). Our guide Rian was nice, friendly and full of knowledge.
Our room at Morokolo Game Lodge was just fantastic! Perfectly clean. Apart from a few expired drinks in the fridge, something that can happen anywhere, I can not really find anything to complain.
The place was so quiet, really a wonderful place to leave behind stress of everyday life.
The only noises were the birds sounds.

There was a swimming pool which we did not use, but used the Jacuzzi which was prepared just for us, with some flowers inside. It was very romantic to use it under the African starry sky.
Meals were served in a separate lodge which is just 2 minutes by car.
I would strongly recommend Morokolo Game Lodge to anyone and would be really happy to go back.

We had a great stay at Morokolo. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are beautiful and well kept, and the views are wonderful. We loved the private game drives and Morokolo is definitely good value for money. The only area that could use with a bit of a sprucing up would be the restaurant in the reserve, although they were very accommodating with my dietary requirements and the service was good. I'd stay again in a heart beat.

The lodge is great, the rooms are beautiful and the views of the mountains are beautiful. The service is great. The only downside for us was the fact that the towels were never changed for the duration of our stay! in addition we expected bar soaps plus disposable shower caps. Nevertheless, we would visit the lodge again and ' d recommend it to our friends.

I've just come back from Pilanesberg.
We had a whale of a time at Morokolo. The staff were very friendly and kind.
and also the accomodation was tidy and excellent.
The ranger was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We had a blast.
It's worth every penny. Thanks very much..

To see four of the Big 5 animals in 4 days is a good Safari experience, made better by the luxurious lodge. Morokolo Lodge is only 2 hour's drive from Johannesbuerg, making this a "Must Visit" destination for overseas tourists.
