Being one of the best places to see such highly elusive nocturnal species as Aarvark, Aardwolf and Black footed cat, Marrick Safari is already famous in the mammal watching community. Sightings cannot be guaranteed but their success rates are incredibly high.
During our 3 nights stay, we saw Aarvark, aardwolf, bat-eared fox, black backed jackal, cape porcupine, african hedgehog, Smith red rock rabbit, springhare (dozens of them), scrub and cape hares. Sadly we missed black footed cat but it seems we had bad luck.
During daytime, marrick and surrounding area can offer great birding.
The place is a bit rustic, in no way luxurious but offers all the amenities you can desire on a wildlife watching trip. Owners and staff are very friendly.
Overall we had a great stay.
