We spent 3 nights at Rhino Post from 11 to 14 May. This was my 2nd trip, having been there in March 2012 with my husband. The overall experience was exceptional and I cannot recommend this hotel any stronger! All the staff are warm and friendly and seem to be genuinely passionate about their work. The common areas, such as the deck, lounge, dining room and pool areas are comfortable and luxurious. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are generally very private - room 8 and room 1 are probably the ones that offer the most privacy as they are on opposite ends of the boardwalk. All the staff are friendly and they try to make you feel at home, whilst also respecting your privacy. Colin was our guide on both occasions and his knowledge of the bush is exceptional. We really enjoyed all our game drives with him and he has a great ability to "read" his guests and make contact on a more personal level. I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers who were quite critical of the food - at Rhino Post the food is very good quality, dinners consist of a 3-course meal and offer great variety, taste and flavour. The food is sophisticated and elegant and service during mealtimes can be described as very attentive. We had a bush braai on our last night, which was a fantastic ending to our trip - the effort that went into the bush braai was astonishing, up to a port-a-loo for the ladies with a basin to wash your hands! I cannot wait to come back!
