We're are regular visitors to the St Lucia area as we love the love the wild and off beat surroundings of St Lucia. Once again we were welcomed by a staff who genuinely feel they are happy to see you. Shonah, the manageress was extremely understanding and helpful. Rooms are great including the fantastic breakfast. We will be back soon. JB

Our first stay at Amazulu was both enjoyable and memorable. The lodge is clean and well situated with shops, restaurants etc within walking distance.Attentive staff, none moreso than Shona who goes the extra mile in organising cruises and meeting all our other needs. The units are tasteful and serviced timeously with little interruption or imposing on one's space.Breakfasts were always a treat and we looked forward to well presented and ample fare overlooked by cheerful staff. Loved the pool and spent relaxing hours lounging and dipping. Will definitely return for another stay!

My wife and I make a point of visiting St. Lucia at least once a year and always stay at Amazulu Lodge. The accommodation is first class and staff very pleasant. Very conveniently located in this world heritage site.We enjoy birding in this area, trips to game parks and especially the trip to Cape Vidal

We're 60 somethings who love the wild and off beat surroundings of St Lucia. Once again we were welcomed by a staff who genuinely feel they are happy to see you (quite rare nowadays). Shona, the manageress, was most helpful and helped us organise our sightseeing days (lagoon cruise, game drives and day excusion to Cape Vidal).
On returning home each day, it was an absolute pleasure to find our rooms expertly cleaned and the beds (with crsip linen) neatly made. The rooms are tastefully furnished and the en-suite is very Europeanish.Nice!

Breakfast was superb and the staff quickly got to know our differing likes. Amazulu Lodge is right on the Main Road of St Lucia so each eveing we took a stroll to the local restaurants and then ambled back to the lodge a 10-15 minute walk.

We only discovered the lodge's beauty spa on our last day but will check it out next year.

Oh yes. there is a ski boat club a kilometre away (use your car) which is a wondeful watering hole for hippos and humans alike! Very popular with visitors and locals.

Once again my wife and I stayed at Amazulu Lodge. The service from both Management and staff was five star. Great breakfast in the magnificent garden and pool area. We were assisted by Shonah with all our needs including tours etc. We will be back.

Room Tip: We love room three and ten

My family and I stayed here for two nights this month (April). Having stayed here before I recommended the accommodation. I was so embarrassed and disappointed! The bathrooms had leaks and smelled of urine. The rooms were supposed to be serviced once a day, however the baths were still dirty upon our return in the afternoon. A single bed for an additional person charged at an exorbitant rate had a mattress that was so thin that we had to request two new mattresses to put on top of that one so that the slats on the bed didn't poke through.

Breakfast was a huge disappointment as it took ages to get eggs served and by then the food was cold.

Our bill at the end of the stay was in a shambles and the lady at reception couldn't locate my proof of payments in order for us to properly settle the bill. Items were charged for from the bar fridge in the room, which were not taken.

We also had a problem with noise at all hours from the people in the unit next to us and the neighbouring accommodation.

I will not be staying here again or recommending this place to anyone.

The bathroom reeked of urine, I doubt it was cleaned at all! The bathrooms in the actual St Lucia estuary were better maintained and neater. Check out time is 10 o'clock , check-in time is 14:00 surely that was ample time to clean a small room and bathroom. Management obviously made no effort to ensure standards were maintained, as their attitude was blase' : pretty much like ' sorry, sorry, we have problems with some of the staff.' Breakfast is pretty standard, it easy to tell that it is kept down to basics. Parking and access to the car park is tedious, thus making moving luggage painful: you have to park at a higher level and walk down stairs with your luggage to your room, no effort is made to assist you in any way what so ever. Little thought has gone into the layout of the actual lodge as all rooms have large windows overlooking the pool. While this makes for a pretty photograph(as seen in the brochure) it does not provide much in terms of privacy or peace for the visitor,as all passers by get a clear view of your room and you get to hear all their chatter. I am curious as to the grounds that Amazulu Lodge received its 5-star rating, it may have it in terms of some trimmings, but i felt it was MOST CERTAINLY LACKING in terms of customer service and excellence of experience! Awful experience!
