We spent a week at Shandon Lodge in September, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, lovely pool and wonderful views of the Nelspruit area from the deck.
What makes Shandon extra special is the family that run it - they are extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating. They have thought of everything you could need and provided it in the rooms.
The breakfasts are wonderful, as was the braai/ barbeque they catered for on one of the nights. They also have a small bar which was a great social point for the large group of people we had travelling with us.
What a perfect example of friendly South African hospitality and a great base to explore the rest of the stunning Mpumalanga area!
