My partner and I recently spent 4 nights at this hotel, the main object of our stay being Safari. The hotel is nice, but not as nice as it appears on its website, the furnishings and rooms and air conditioning units are all a little tired, but are generally clean.
Safaris are not cheap at over R1000 (STG100) but as we saw all the big 5 as well as many more animals, it was well worth it.
The one thing that you should be aware of if you are a golfer is that although this hotel promotes its golf course, this course is prohibitively expensive - R1200 (STG 120 approx) for a single round!! Also, if you do not have your own transport, you will have to arrange well in advance for the hotel to drive you there and back. Generally, the staff did not seem interested in trying to help us organise a golf day. All in all a bit of a palava and somewhat disappointing.
The food is generally very good and especially the breakfast with delicious pancakes!
