Stayed at Hamiltons for 4 nights, second time we have travelled from England to Hamiltons in 8 months, so must be good!!
Arrived to find familiar faces but a very different landscape because it was a different time of year. Service at the camp was excellent, Ben and Harold were the perfect hosts and Loderick looked after everything else (us)!!
Game viewing was fantastic, saw a leopard in first 20 mins, lots of different prides of lions and some very cute cubs.
Our brilliant ranger Michael got us a very close encounter with wild dogs which was the highlight of our trip. This time we had the pleasure of sharing our game vehicle with four fantastic people from S.A, two of which were great bird watchers. So thank you to Angus and Heather who really opened my eyes to some of the lovely birds all around us.
We were put in room 1 again, probably the room with the best view, (sorry I can't call them tents). The food was perfect and the chef even managed a lovely birthday cake as a surprise for my husband. All in all it's the little things that make Hamiltons so special, the extra mile all the staff are prepared to go and the warm smiles that greet you every morning.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at Hamiltons. It is always very special to be in the bush. Hamiltons is the epitome of Colonial extravagance. On arrival we were greeted by our butler, Ronny. He was fantastic and always made sure we were well looked after. He even told us little stories/jokes between courses over dinner!
The tents are not what one would normally call a "tent", but rather very luxurious rooms with a tent roof. The outside shower is a winner. It is a wonderful experience to shower under the stars while knowing that all about you (probably not too far away) are hippo, elephant, monkeys, lions, buck etc.
The meals were excellent and varied every day. On our final evening we were spoiled with dinner served in our room.
Our ranger, Richard, was extremely knowledgeable and made every game drive a superb experience. We saw giraffe, elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, black rhino, sable, water buck, zebra, warthog, dwarf mongoose, puffadder, African wild cat, civet cat, eagle owl, bush buck amongst others.
We can highly recommend Hamiltons to anyone looking for a wonderful break in the bush and the opportunity to experience Africa's phenomonal wildlife.

We spent 3 nights at Hamiltons, and wished we had booked for a longer!
It is a 3.5 hr drive from Nelspruit, and on the way into the park on our airport transfer we saw a ton of animals, amazing! ,and we just made is just in time for the evening game drive.
The service and the rooms were amazing. Though we had the room closest to the Reception, which meant you could hear the humming of the generator, but wasn't to bad.
We had two game drives per day, one at 6am, and another at 4pm, and they went for about 3-4 hours. We were lucky enough to see the "Big 5", though there were times when we would drive for an hour or so and not see a thing, but we didn't mind as the whole experience of just being out in the wilderness was amazing.
Our Ranger Richard was a great bloke, very down to earth and full of information.
You won't go hungry! Food was excellent, and plenty of it.
I travelled through Africa 10 years ago as a backpacker, and was lovely to go back with my husband and do it "in style"!

We had a three night stay at the Hamiltons which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our stay started with an elephant literally in front of reception which was a great experience.
Our room also provided great views of the 'resident' hippo and crocodile. We also saw elephants fighting in the water in front of our room.
Our ranger Armand was very knowlegeably and provided us with great sightings within a relaxed approach (Only didn't see Leopard of the big 5). Service back at the lodge was also very good with Ronny always helpful and efficient.

Food was average. Rooms were fairly sized and comfortable. We got a good deal on the stay which made Hamiltons good value. However their rack rate would be hard to justify.
