“One of the best camping places around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I just want to let everyone know what a great place this is! it is surrounded by mountains with both warm and cold water pools. The camping facilities are spotless and well maintained with allot of Big trees. It has a well stocked shop where anything can be bought. Me and my family will definitely be coming back for holidays here!

We stopped at Swadini en route from Jo'Burg to Sabi Sands in Kruger for a safari. Lots of good sight seeing en route and the boat ride on the dam the next morning was fabulous. The units are 2 bedroom- But unless you have children with you we would recommend that only 2 persons be accomodated. They are inexpensive enough so that it is not a burden.

What an awesome resort. An unbelievable setting together with clean, well equipped cottages, comfortable camping area and ample amenities all combine to make this an excellent holiday destination. We stayed in a 4 sleeper cottage which was neat, spacious and well equipped. Kudu and bushbuck grazed peacefully in the lawns and vervet monkeys frolicked in the trees. The resort has two huge pools, one of them heated, tennis court, putt putt amongst others. There are also some great walking trails. The resort shop is well stocked. There is a bar and restaurant. The resort is close to lots of attractions and is a super base for exploring the region. We really enjoyed our stay there. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff made this a memorable stay!

This resort is unbelievable actually. First off, it's VERY well organized and laid out with a combination of tenting areas and cottages/cabins of various sizes and conveniences. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage high up the road towards the lookout point. It was VERY comfortable and felt like we were at home. We had a kitchen, living room, separate bedroom with a wall of windows overlooking the canyon, and a lovely bathroom with all of the fittings.

There is a restaurant and bar which offer great service and food.

Be SURE to hike to the lookout point for sunrise. You will be enchanted.

I love this resort, its a true gen.

Its one of the special places that always grounds me.

The camping sites are great but the cabins are even better

The location is just perfect and there is ample for the kids to do in the area

Room Tip: if you go for a cabin try ask for one close to the river as you feel like your in a thick river bush

I have recently been to Swadwini for the boat trip, and after that we decided to have lunch at Forever Resort Swadini. The waiter was smoking next to the entrance of the rest. and when we ordered our drinks the waiter told us that the bar was closed. They managed to get the bartender after we have received our food. The only time we say a waiter was when we were paying, by a different waiter.

Myself and my family visited the resort after a stunning boat trip on the Blyde Dam. The response from the security officer at the main gate was shocking. We are new to the area and needed some information. He ignored us and continued with his discussion with another staff member. After eventually finding the reception area, no receptionist was on duty. It was explained to us by a member of the restaurant staff that the receptionist is on the phone in the back office and are unable to help us.

We got to the restaurant area where we were friendly greeted by a waiter. We were then told that the bar was closed and the bar manager was resting. This was at 13:30 in the afternoon. We had a lovely light lunch and still no drinks. After waiting about 15 min the drinks finely arrived.

It is my understanding that a bar is supposed to close late night. Not during operating hours. However, the restaurant was very clean and stylish.

The resort as a whole is very nice and I would like to spend a night or two on the resort. The standard of service needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Without good quality service there will be no resort.
