I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks for a business trip. The hotel rooms were ok, if you were lucky... I went with several colleagues who had to change rooms approx 3 times. The hotel is very close to the highway so you may difficulty if you're a light sleeper. Also if you're unlucky enough to have a room by the lifts - dont expect a nice quite stay. Not only do the lifts make a lot of noise, but the music the hotel plays in the lift lobby can also be heard from the rooms next door.

If you end with a good rooms you'll find it very comfortable, however these are rare.

Breakfast is quite nice here, but never eat here in the evenings. The hotel is located very close to a shopping mall and there are plenty of places to eat there.

As I was staying on a business trip the worst thing I found about this hotel, is the cost of the internet.... It was unbelieveably expensive.

As a South African couple returning for a short break we were pleasantly looking forward to a comfortable stay at the Protea waterfront hotel. What a mistake...

This must be the most incompetent and badly managed hotel we have ever stayed in both locally and abroad. The attitude of the staff and state of the hotel leaves something to be desired.

Everything from the functionality in the room ( toilet, tv, lights ) was either damaged or broken at some point during our stay. The rooms were half cleaned, bed linen not changed in the week and the room never available before 15h00 in the afternoon....

The top point was the three man airconditioner maintenance team that arrived in our room to remove the a/c and carry out the " routine maintenance". Normally these maintenance tasks are scheduled when there are "not" guests staying in the room????

In conclusion a terrible experience and not recommendable at all..
