“worth your time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

I read mixed review about this place but decided to go ahead....yes,the road is not that great but you do enjoy driving through all those sugarcane fields..........
the place is okay with a gift shop, small restaurant ,few snakes & lots of crocodiles..........the guide with one finger missing was great & quite funny.......he let us hold the crocodile (with its mouth tied with elastic band)..........
we missed the wolves which were on show at 2 pm & we needed to go to Litchee fest.....see you next time Wolves....

“watch your fingers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

A very interesting tour, the guide seemed to know his stuff, shame he did not watch his fingers as 1 was missing-biten off by one of the small residents. The centre was a little bit tired, and was very quiet..in fact we were the only visitors.

“Crocs & Wolves”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

We stayed in Umhlanga Rocks and hired a small car to see some of the countryside. Taking the route via Tongaat to Crocodile Creek we saw very few signs for the attraction - one was in Tongaat saying 9km, but we drove straight past the first turning.....and the second! As we retraced our route the signs were easier to spot from the opposite direction. The 'road' to CC was extremely poor in places with very large potholes, so beware, but the signage improved as you got closer. When we arrived we were the only 2 visitors, but another couple of families followed close behind. Due to our extended journey time we missed the allocated feeding time, but the guide fed them again so we could see just how quickly the crocs can move when they want to. Basically if you have seen one croc you've seen them all and it's not very exciting to see so many gathered in rather small compounds with little water! We elected not to stay for the 'tour', although if we had I'm sure we would have learned a lot more about these creatures. The highlight of the visit was meeting the two wolves, amazingly beautiful animals. Overall the place is not easily accessible and anyone with mobility problems would find it very difficult with the steep and narrow pathways around the compounds. In our view the whole place is very 'tired' and the facilities poorly maintained - rather disappointing after all the effort of getting there.

“Learnt a lot and had a good time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We decided to take the children for a visit here as it's something very different to anything in the UK. The roads there were of varying quality, some quite poor. Follow the signs and don't give up the place is worth the effort. There were only a few visitors with us, Shaun our quide really knew his stuff. We spent near 2 hours being shown around the park, we all learnt a great deal along with lots of stories from Shaun. There are other animals apart from crocs, mainly reptiles and the native monkeys. The place isn't high luxury and in places rustic but that adds to it's appeal. We also ate there, lunch was tasty and value of money. There is a small souvenir shop. If you have a couple of spare hours I would recommend this attraction. Our children never lost interest or became bored even though there was lots of information to listen to. Shaun was an excellent guide.
