“A lucky find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2009

This was a gem. My family arrived Christmas Day and were warmly welcomed. Kingfisher is built in a beautiful location and hopefully one day we will return. The food provided by Phil and Sue was excellent so was the advice of things to see and do. We have told all our friends where to make their next stop!

Stayed December 2008

This hotel was so different from any other we stayed. It was absolutely beautiful, you could have been in the middle of the english country side, with the green scenery. It was so quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes drive to the magnificant beach at Wilderness (beware of jelly fish). The owners Sue and Phil were so lovely, we didn't feel like hotel guests, we were given keys and had the run of the house. Our hotel rooms were huge with private doors leading to the garden and the lovely swimming pool. Breakfast was beautiful, with fresh scones etc made that morning. Food was served on the verandah overlooking stunning scenery with visits from the pink loerie bird each morning. There are shops and eateries and a laundrette only a few minutes away, we had a wonderful stay.

  • Liked — beautiful breakfast and setting
  • Disliked — daughter had her own huge room
