“Feast yourself on the view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

The view is fantastic, especially upstairs at sunset, we had a very good lunch and came back for supper, the staff were helpful and friendly though service was not very fast. There is a lovely choice of fish.

“Well Worth Stopping Here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Having spent the day in George dealing with government departments, immigration agents, driving back and forth etc. we decided to stop at Salinas in Wilderness for late lunch/early dinner on our way back to Plettenberg Bay.
It was a great call. The welcome was friendly and we were seated on the outside deck, the waiter moving our table to get out of the late afternoon sun. Our waitress was friendly, mostly attentive and had no hesitation in answering our questions. She even brought us an unprepared sample of the fresh fish we enquired about. We both ordered the Kabeljou which was perfectly cooked and served with freshly prepared vegetable melange and crispy potato wedges along with a small bowl of tartare sauce. it was a great choice and was enjoyed by us both. The coffee served was freshly brewed and piping hot as you would expect.
Overall a lovely restaurant, great views, friendly & knowledgable staff and well prepared food.
I will definitely stop there again when passing through Wilderness.

“Excellent service and food”

On a recent visit to Knysna, we had dinner at Salina's. Great service and great food! We all had fish, which was very fresh and well presented!

“Jez & Nikki”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Excellent restaurant with good choice of food. Staff were pleasant and service was excellent. We sat outside on the balcony upstairs and the views were fantastic. However be worth taking something to wear later as the sea wind is quite chilly once it gets dark.

“Great views, dissappointing and inconsistent food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

I have tried to resist writing this review, but am annoyed enough by driving past to other places and missing out on the view, that I must express myself! We have eaten four times here, with one successful meal (a breakfast, which unfortunately they no longer do), and a business lunch about 8 months ago. However, two subsequent meals were actually horrible - I tasted one of our guests prawns, and it was so floury that I do not know how she managed to eat it. Our meals were insipid, cold and tasted as if they has been defrosted and heated in a microwave. There seems to be a lack of passion about the food. And the coffee is still awful - we have commented about it each time, and it is still coffee flavoured dishwater. So we regretfully drive past and go to their sister restaurant Pomodoro. It is so frustrating that the two best sea view venues in Wilderness seem to rest on their position and tourist trap laurels. Common guys, stop just capitilising on your position, you are in our backyard and we like to support local, especially out of season, visit a place like Lookout Deck in Plett for some food and service tipsI
