Description: Zucchini is blushing from all the attention... Voted in the "Top 20 Culinary Destinations" in the Garden Route for three years running as voted by the Chaines des Rotisseurs. Also voted best "Family Restaurant" in the Garden route for the last two years. If walls of this honest country restaurant could talk the conversation would include words of fresh, vibrant, from scratch, home grown organic and compliments to the chef. To us simplicity is the key. You can expect dishes filled with flavour, a taste experience for the natural foodie. Zucchini Restaurant is in the Timberlake Organic Village in Wilderness. We offer a selection of Vegetarian meals but also offer game dishes like the "Springbok Shank" or our "Trio of Carpaccio". A mix of local-made micro brews from the tap! 32 Different types of local beers to taste, not to be missed. Play park for the kids, and a host of activities to keep them busy while you relax on our couches and sip a glass of wine.

“The best Wilderness restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

We had 2 delectable dinners at Zucchinis restaurant during our 5 night stay in Sedgefield (it is 12km from Sedgies towards the Wilderness at Timberlake). The Kingklip is delicious - had to have it on both nights. My partner had the venison flank on one of the nights which was tender and tasty. Apparently the lamb burger is to die for and the route pasta (chicken) was a sensory delight. The accompanying vegetables ie zucchini fritters, sweet potatoe chips, wedge potatoes - all organic apparently were yummy, yummy! Do not leave without trying the desserts - the molten chocolate cake in an enamel cup, the belgian chocolate cheesecake and the milktart chocolate phyllo are all devine. The restaurant definitely has the best cappuccinos along the garden route. Together with the good service, cosy atmosphere and hospitable host a fabulous evening was had by all on both nights

“YUM!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

It's been a while since I have been in Wilderness.
So happy to pop into Timeberlake Village.

Had a chickpea burger and so happy to find so many vegetarian options.
We also had Lamb burger and Chicken &Haloumi salad at our table. Rave reviews all around.

Till next time...

“Still hungry”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

Valentine's Day dinner left us with no starter after ordering, an hours wait for mediocre main. Friendly service when available but not for vegetarians wanting anything else but sweet potato chips and unimaginative salad or a few vegetable pieces.... Needs serious revision with a name like that. Wine list pretty good if available. I am seriously still hungry tonight.

Hi Andre J,

I apologise for the waitrons forgetting your starter order, and thank you for commending the wine list. It is one of you busiest nights of the year and waiting times can be a little high.

And yes you are right, on the selected Valentines menu there were not enough vegetarian options. We went for a smaller menu with every dish theme decorated to celebrate the most romantic night of the year and two options was just not enough I guess.

BUT i'm happy to tell you that the other 364 days of the year we have a large selection of vegetarian dishes on our A La Carte menu totalling 13 options with even some Vegan dishes!

Concerning the size of the meal I do feel you are not being fair, never has a guest complained that our portion sizes are insufficient, quite the contrary actually, with portion sizes being more than ample, feel free to browse our reviews to get a broader opinion.

That being said I would like you to please make a reservation again so I can right some wrongs on our side.

Greeting
Stephan

Very interesting organic Restaurant, awesome food! We actually just want a light lunch, but the portions was a bit too much to handle, but it was so worth it.
