“A lovely stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

What a lovely stay! Everything was perfect from the moment that we arrived to the moment we left. The staff was incredible and their attention to detail was perfect. The hotel is well kept and all their facilities, though not always available, we perfectly acceptable. Out best was having tea/coffee brought to our room every morning and enjoying this treat in out pyjamas overlooking the sea. The Spa is magnificent and the therapisits are exceptional.
Compared to the other places we stayed at on the Garden Route, Views was also very good value for money.
Breakfast overlooking thr ocean was perfect. We only wish that the pool was on a deck overlooking the sea.
We also got engaged during our stay and the hotel was kind and as excited as we were with beautiful flowers in our room when we returned from our date. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom beautiful and clean and well stocked with toiletries and a lovely dressinging room to hide our personal chaos!
Thank you for the best holiday!

Room Tip: Ask about the view as rooms may vary.

Mixed reviews, but thought this hotel, which is in a beautiful location was very nice.
When we arrived were greeted by Octavius at reception, a charming guy who was always ready to help with any questions and problems we had. Room was lovely, big and with great views towards the mountains. The balcony was a bonus, but unfortunately was above the staff/goods entrance, which could be a bit noisy at times.
Had a meal in Sales restaurant and thought it was excellent. The curry was delicious, with lovely bits of white breast meat. Prof behind the bar was very friendly and polite.
Hotel was quiet so always plenty of staff about.
Breakfast was ok, but did ask for toast - still waiting.
Overall a lovely hotel, in an brilliant location, and if you improve what's on offer for breakfast, and see if you can find my toast you will soon receive rave reviews.

Room Tip: Room at the front overlooking the ocean have magnificent views

This was the first main stop on the Garden Route on our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Stephen (I believe) and shown to our room. Unbelievably spacious, luxurious and with a bottle of champagne and chocolates to greet us. We felt like royalty.

Exquisite views over the ocean and all the way back to Mossel Bay to our right. Bed and linen was superb, the loungers on our balcony were a perfect place to open a book and bottle of wine and watch the sun go down.

The fine dining restaurant was under renovation and not open but we were highly enthused by Sails Restaurant and chose to dine here both nights of our stay. The service from the staff was excellent, the atmosphere just right. Breakfast each morning was superb, vast selection along with hot food also. Myself and my wife availed of a massage treatment in the spa during our visit also and it took us to another place, amazing.

All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay and would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

Room Tip: Room with a view a must!

We enjoyed our stay here hugely for 2 nights on tour along the Garden route.
Pluses that this place provided: a wonderful setting overlooking the beach; it was wonderful to have a glass of wine on the balcony watching the sun set before going out to eat; the rooms were truly lovely and spacious - but you do need a Premier suite with an ocean view or you will have missed the point of staying here; breakfasts were very good and the sole receptionist was very helpful when asked for something; the atmosphere is very, very laid back and very quiet, sitting on the balcony in the evening it was like no-one else was around. The pool is tiny and was out of commission when we visited, but why use that when the wonderful beach is right there? We didn't consider eating in the hotel restaurant for an evening meal when Serendipidity and the Girls restaurants were close by. There is a big clue in the name of the hotel, the view of the rolling waves coming ashore with no sound but the ocean was wonderful.

Room Tip: an ocean view is a must have here

FIVE BLACK MARKS FOR THIS HOTEL
If I hadn't had to pay "up front" a month before arriving, I would have checked out the first day.
After being given the tour, "Sorry, the Pool isn't working", (I think something was lurking in its unseen depths.) "Sorry, the Lift isn't working", Sorry, the Entertainment system is also not working". Oh yes, the Cocktail Bar isn't working either.
At dinner, which I had specifically mentioned when booking, was our Silver Anniversary and wished to have A la Carte, we where offered the choice of Fish & Chips, Pizza, Pasta or a bit of Steak and to be told that they don't do A la Carte anymore. But they still advertise it on the Website.
The in-room Coffee pod machine mentioned in the rooms brochure was non existent, we had to ask for replacement Teabags. The carpet was stained, the shower stank of sewage.
If you've paid a deposit, try and get it back, cancel this place and look at one of the many excellent other stays. Be warned.

Room Tip: Take soap, we had the same sliver for 6 days.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at The Views last week, and really have to thank all the staff in making our stay memorable. From the moment that we've checked in, I still cannot find any faults, as the service was flawless and exceptional. The Room view was magnificent. I have stayed at quite a few 5 Star Hotels, but really, this was fantastic. I will always recommend anyone to stay there, and would gladly return.
My only regret was staying for one nigt only, as I should've booked for at least a week.
Special thanks to Fiona, Wandri and Morne, and for those I didn't mention, once again, Thank you.

A fantastic room and balcony and wonderful views of miles of beach. Great for walking beside the ocean. Wonderful Spa and treatments. The welcome and service from the reception/concierge staff was also first class.

However the service at breakfast and dinner was poor and offhand, more like a poorly run 3 star motel.
Also very disappointed that the swimming pool was out of action as this was one of the reasons for staying here. It looked nice on the website but no mention was made when arriving. It is on the sun deck but had an out-of-use sign on it and had been left uncovered and full of revolting stagnant water and algae, with bits of metal and gravel all around it. It looked like it had not been in use for at least 6 months and was a very unattractive sight. The Games Room was also rather tatty and seemed to be a dumping ground for old furniture and bedding.
Great views, rooms and Spa but disappointing in other ways - a shame.

Room Tip: Sea view or side sea view - not the back (mountains and car parks/gas station).
