I stayed here for 1 night on a business trip.
The rooms are very large and include Kettle, Empty fridge, Lounge, Kitchenette, seperate bath and shower. Room safe.
The bathroom was well stocked with toileteries and even GHD hair straighteners!
The bed was very comfortable and the room clean.
There was a balcony with table and 2 chairs, but only views of more flats.
The hotel is situated within a large shopping mall with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes etc.
I would not recommend eating in this hotel, my experience of breakfast was terrible, flies in the fruit and yogurt!
I would say the hotel is in a safe area.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 311

Stayed here for two nights on business. I was surprised how good the room was - spacious, clean, modern, great bathroom. And this was the standard double.

No free wifi, breakfast was decent even though the level of 'service' is so intense I had to tell the many waiting staff I was fine and didn't need constant attention. The staff in general were well mannered, even if most didn't seem to have a clue about anything. Trying to check out and pay for more than one room took half an hour.

If you just need a place to sleep, this place is excellent. If you are looking for a hotel with some character and facilities, not so great.

Save yourself time and money : try another one until they fix it.
The list of things that went wrong is endless.
Ill-conceived bathroom, dirty linens and towels, ants in the bathroom and the bedroom, furniture falling apart, no light curtains to keep light and privacy only night curtains, dirty carpet, missing slippers, sockets out of order, even when switched off the air conditioning lets you believe you are in the engine room of a supertanker....
And don't even try to use the laundry, it comes back wet and ugly.

Give them a chance in a year from now, when they may have realised that clients deserve a better standard and they've adapted to it.
The only positive point : they yield well to complains; but you do not chose a hotel just to get tense !?

I've stayed a few times on business and it delivers comfort and space. The rooms are suite-like with a sitting area, bedroom and large bathrooms with bath and walk-in shower.

It's next door to the gateway shopping place that has lots of shops, bars and restaraunts with a family vibe.

It's a bit soulless, and I don't think there are any views (I've never had any) but I'm not looking for that.

No free wifi either, and the paid service is poor - that needs resolving.

I stayed here for one night recently and I don't think I would go back. The rooms are spacious but the cost gets very high if more then one traveller stayed in the room. Balcony has a view of more apartments. Parking is between parking for flats and businesses so finding the hotel is difficult. I only had one small bag but the porter grabbed my key and bag from my hand. I thought a porter with one bag was pointless but as a whole the staff are very pushy. On arrival the water in my room was cold as the geyser had been turned off. Very irritating. The room service was okay but my lasagne was curried and that was not mentioned on the menu plus the mini bottle of wine with enough for one glass cost me R55 and it was very average wine. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the selection varied.
It was alright for one night but the nearby City Lodge and the very nice Garden Court are much better choices with welcoming staff and a more professional hotel like feel.
Oh and the giant mirror head board is just disturbing.

Just finishing a 4 night stay here and while the room is very clean, the bathroom large and the mini kitchen great for a cup of coffee I will probably try a different hotel next time. At times it feels more of a motel than a hotel. Access is from the street level directly to the rooms. Half the building shares some offices which is not any problem. The lobby then has little traffic. The staff is slow and inattentive. Try getting a 2nd cup of coffee at breakfast. Food choices ok, bellboys are though very helpful. The sitting room is nice with as noted before a wonderful sofa where I have spent much of my time as the TV cannot be seen from the bedroom. The 10sq/m balcony is great as well but often quite loud on the street below.
Facet: ok hotel, value for money ok, helpful staff, well not really. Location to mall fantastic if you need that.
