My partner and I stayed at Tala just one night -- wish it had been more. We were in one of the Leadwood Lodge cottages, which give you access to the beautiful lodge. There are lots of other places you can stay on the reserve, but these cottages have to be the ultimate in African chic: the best bath/shower facilities, beautiful bed, great decor, views on all sides. Meanwhile, the lodge features an infinity pool leading the eye off into the rosy sunset, which you may enjoy with any number of fine wines, all included in the price. The food was outstanding, courtesy of a Japanese chef with a real eye for combining flavours and using the freshest produce. There are lots of game reserves in Africa, and others have more lions. But I don't think they can compare on comfort and accessibility.
