My hubby and I visited in May 2007. uShaka is a great improvement over the old Sea World aquarium, while still retaining the same ideas that made Sea World so popular.
They have two separate amphitheatres for dolphin and seal shows, along with a penguin habitat and a place where you can go and swim with the fishes. The dolphin and seal shows weren't quite up to par with what you'd see at Sea World in the USA, but were quite enjoyable and the African music in the background was cool. The main aquarium is housed inside a huge fake shipwreck and is a) massive and b) fantastic! We definitely enjoyed this part of uShaka the best. The displays were great and went on and on. There was a fun section with dangerous creatures including snakes and spiders (which aren't aquarium-related, I guess, but were nice to see). We were a bit disappointed at the shark tank because there weren't as many varieties of sharks as there were at the old Sea World (e.g. lots of Raggies but only baby Hammerheads), but it was still really good.
If it's not a really busy day and is sunny, it's worthwhile to buy the combo entrance package that gets you into the waterpark too. We thoroughly enjoyed the rides and the river tube ride that wound its way through part of the marine park too. BUT there isn't much room for people at the waterpark, so I should imagine it wouldn't be fun battling people for space and position in ride line-ups on a busy day.
Just a warning - they don't let you bring in any bottled beverages, so either hide your water really well or they'll take it from you at the entrance.
