“Great Stop”

Americas Best Value Inn Kingsman

Just stopped on the way to Vegas, tired of driving, happened to pull up to the hotel, really nice warm greating at the front desk, went to room, very nicely surprised. For a hotel that is under new Management and newly renovated, they have it all together. Loved the style of the hotel, the room was clean, people were friendly, great value, even had breakfast. Definitly going to stop again, maybe this time for a few days just to relax. Well worth it!!!

“Decent especially for the money”

Americas Best Value Inn Kingsman

Renovations are nearly complete at this Kingman motel. There seem to be some management issues - I overheard at least 2 confused conversations between hotel staff and hotel staff-customers. Rooms are new - decent tv, comfortable beds, refrigerators, hairdryer. Our toilet had not be adequately cleaned, but after days of camping, this did not bother us. There is a lovely pool which we did not use since we were only passing through town (I can't imagine doing anything other than just pass through Kingman honestly). Laundry facilities on site - also did not use, but met another group that were using it. Continental breakfast is typical - several types of juice, coffee/tea, pastries and breads, cereal. Overall a good value for the money. The area is sketchy - right by a railroad and across from a motel frequented by loud folks when we were in town. Frankly, the more expensive hotels were just across the street - it's not like they were in the nice part of town - not sure one exists. Anyway, I'd recommend it for just stopping through for sure. Management hopefully will iron out its problems. And then hopefully the price will stay the same, making this a good choice in Kingman.

We didn't actually stay here - we had a reservation but when we got to the hotel it was in the middle of being renovated. There appeared to be no other guests, the front desk couldn't find our reservation and didn't seem to care if we stayed or not. It was dusty and looked a mess... we stayed at another hotel nearby.

The price was right - $42 per night (we were only passing through Kingman) and it may be just fine once reno's are complete - but I suggest you contact them by phone to see what state the hotel is in.

“Leaving was the best part”

Certainly not a 'AAA' as stated. Photos online must be 30 years old. Even with 'renovation discount' it was not worth it. Checked in on a 95 degree day, no ice machines working, (or even plugged in). Young night clerk was polite, (but had no info or clue) and said to go across street and "buy my ice". Only phone book in room was 2 years old. No fridge, microwave or hairdryer in room as offered. Room was clean. Pool looked pretty dirty. Trains ran all night at back of property 150 feet away. I had asked for "no housekeeping" for my stay, which went unheeded, and personal realty papers were gathered up out of order and placed elsewhere. Workers began banging and talking outside my door at 6 am.
Had pleasant talk with very new manager who was trying to sort things out. She did get a new phonebook and hairdryer to the room. When asked about the entry by maid, she stated no one spoke or read english. With a 'do not disturb' sign on door, you would think they could be shown what that means without having to speak english. I have stayed at a lot of motels, this is the first really bad review I have given. I was assured that when renovation was complete, it would be a big change, however, never a mention to any comp for future stays.

I stayed at the Best Value Inn in Kingman, Az. The people there are like family. It shows in the work that they do and in the customer service. When you first walk in you were greeted with a smile. I felt like they cared about the people.

The rooms were very nice.I felt right at home. They remodeled the rooms. Now they are remodeling the out side. But in all the people there are great and i would suggest that if you want to feel at home then go stay at the Best Value Inn in Kingman, Az.
