We chose this hotel (which is now renamed to "Americas Best Value Inn") because of other travelers' reviews. We were not disappointed in the least. The rooms are large (Queen bed with separate sitting area, desk, table, microwave, refrig, large screen TV, separate sink area, combo tub/shower in bathroom, and very clean throughout. It looks like the hotel is pretty new. Continental breakfast had coffee, juices, cookies, cereal with milk, fruit cups, rolls. No waffles or hard boiled eggs like some more expensive places have. There is also a large in the courtyard area of the hotel. The area seems safe enough as there are several other hotels nearby along with several fast food restaurants, in a clean, pretty new-looking area.

The hotel has rooms on the courtyard side and the outer side of the compound and we were put on the outer side, which was OK as it was convenient to our car. I don't know if we could have requested the courtyard side for the same price or not, but it wasn't an issue of importance for us as we only stayed one night.

The hotel was quiet except that three or four times late at night I could hear the low rumble of what sounded like a train passing somewhere fairly close nearby, but there wasn't a whistle sounding so the rumble didn't disturb me at all. I am a sound sleeper so don't know if more trains passed by after I slept.

At a total cost including all taxes of $44.68 it would be hard to beat this hotel! We would definitely stay here again if passing through this area and needing a place to stay. As there doesn't seem to be any special attractions in the area I don't think there would be a reason to stay several nights though.

Very friendly front desk and clean room with iron, frig, TV and internet accesss. The place is going through renovation so it looks more in process than it is. Breakfast included. Pool was out of service but that was OK. Good place to break on way from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. Good price with AAA card.

We had read reviews and were a bit concerned but the hotel told us, via phone, that renovations were complete and that we would like the results. They were correct! The hotel looks as though it was just built. Very nice, clean rooms, a very nice pool and courtyard area, and a very pleasant staff. We were very pleased and we are picky on hotels. The breakfast was a surprise as well. A good variety of hot and cold items.

I strongly recommend this hotel and consider it the great bargain of our two week trip.

“Great Stop”

Americas Best Value Inn Kingsman

Just stopped on the way to Vegas, tired of driving, happened to pull up to the hotel, really nice warm greating at the front desk, went to room, very nicely surprised. For a hotel that is under new Management and newly renovated, they have it all together. Loved the style of the hotel, the room was clean, people were friendly, great value, even had breakfast. Definitly going to stop again, maybe this time for a few days just to relax. Well worth it!!!

“Decent especially for the money”

Americas Best Value Inn Kingsman

Renovations are nearly complete at this Kingman motel. There seem to be some management issues - I overheard at least 2 confused conversations between hotel staff and hotel staff-customers. Rooms are new - decent tv, comfortable beds, refrigerators, hairdryer. Our toilet had not be adequately cleaned, but after days of camping, this did not bother us. There is a lovely pool which we did not use since we were only passing through town (I can't imagine doing anything other than just pass through Kingman honestly). Laundry facilities on site - also did not use, but met another group that were using it. Continental breakfast is typical - several types of juice, coffee/tea, pastries and breads, cereal. Overall a good value for the money. The area is sketchy - right by a railroad and across from a motel frequented by loud folks when we were in town. Frankly, the more expensive hotels were just across the street - it's not like they were in the nice part of town - not sure one exists. Anyway, I'd recommend it for just stopping through for sure. Management hopefully will iron out its problems. And then hopefully the price will stay the same, making this a good choice in Kingman.
