Very clean and comfortable place very budget friendly there help was very friendly and helpful made you feel at home there love they tv channes they get there they are only hotel with NFL network and they are close walking distance to restaurants they rooms are very nice i would recommend to my friends and if you love trains you can watch them go by in very back. I love feel of old mom and pop motels they are very few left in this country to be able stay and being able stay on route 66 I think more people should support the old mom and pops motels they make you feel like it your home way from home . You do not get that staying and hotels chains like you get from they old mom & pops motel they make feel right at home . aslo they have very nice pool you are able relax by pool with your laptop and do work they free wireless interent

    • Liked — they price and cleaness and the old feel of staying and mom & pops motel and being able support independent motels because of big chains have slowly put old mom & pops motels out of business and do not get same feel like you do and the mom & pops motel and chain you feel like you are number and not person like do with them

How could AAA list and recommended this old, worn out motel that sits between a truck stop and McDonalds just off of I-40 traffic. Located on Route 66, check in takes place, like in 1950s, in a poorly designed, small room where you stand before a booth-like desk. In addition to getting a key you get a TV remote control that has to be returned. The room rate given by AAA was overpriced - $10-$20 the motel's own outdoor advertised rate and other rates up and down Route 66. The Q-bed room was old and worn. Room ammenities were few - a bar of soap, an ice bucket and one small paper basket - no shampoo, facial tissue or even a local guide in the room. There was a small refrigerator and microwave oven. The shower/tub had moldy corners and curtain edging. A/C only went to 72 degrees. There are plenty of other budgetname brand hotels to choose from in this area - check them out first.

A little noisy (close to the train and to the freeway) but the rooms are clean and decent, better than the typical cheap hotels. Free wireless internet was a real plus.

Our Truck (18 wheeler) broke down on 8/11/06 we selected ths hotel becuase it was next door to the truckstop and had free internet. we paid cash. and their internet was not working all night. On 8/12 our boss called our dispatch to tell them to give us an advance to pay for the rest of our stay. well dispatch was having trouble with their computers. an checkout time was 11a. by 1130a they told us we had 10mins to vacate the room. cause they didnt like the fact that their were 4 people involved and possibly more to resolve this issue. so because we couldnt pay them when they wanted and they would not wait they called the police on us to escort us out of there in front of everyone like we were some sort of criminals it was not only 1 police officer but 2 police cars arrived. So the police took us accross the street to the Travelodge an we told them what happened they were appalled. the Travelodge worked with our dispatch and got it all resolved.
