“Desert Burritos; Mmmm Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

We went to El Palacio for a late lunch and had their luncheon special, the desert burritos. These babies were pretty darned good, filled with your choice of meat and covered with plenty of cheese and a tasty red chili sauce along with refried beans and rice. For $6.95, this a deal that can't be beat. The margaritas are decent and the beer very cold, both important when the outside temperature was 111F. Thanks for the good eats!

“A meal fit for a King-man in a palace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We found this historic restaurant along old route 66 by the train station museum. We were well entertained by several trains going by. The three types of dip (fresh salsa, hot salsa, and beans) were a treat with hot chips. I loved my "Del Mar" seafood dish. My son selected #7 pork enchiladas, and my honey had steak tacos. The food was heavenly. The servers were warm and friendly, as well as attentive. The 100+ year old building was painted in a colorful Mexican decor with pretty woodwork surrounding the large entry doors. Even the cantina bar was cute. On a Tuesday by 5:00 p.m., the two rooms were pretty full. This is a lively, fun place to be. The prices were great too. I'll be back! Hasta la vista!

“Excellent Mexican Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

We stop at El Palacio when we drive to Las Vegas from Phoenix. The food is wonderful and the servers are quite pleasant and friendly. It is downtown across from the railroad. Good atmosphere.

“Very good Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We'd been to this restaurant's Chandler branch and decided to try the Kingman one while staying at a nearby hotel. The food was as predicted fresh, tasty and well spiced. I had the Tostado chicken salad; the shell was crispy, the shredded chicken was juicy and the portions of cheese, tomato, beans, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole were generous. My wife had a beef enchilada and loved it. The Especial margarita was good, but sadly there are draft beers. However, Corona and Tecate are available in bottles or cans along with American brews. Service was fast and friendly. If you like trains, get a window and watch the BNSF freights every few minutes. We'd return.
