They say first impressions last so when you arrive at the corner of Rivonia & Katherine streets, don't feel bad if you want to turn back. The hotel is located within what looks like a business park, there's a huge excavation spot and the driveway is crowed by shrubs and trees - not a welcoming site, particularly if you're checking in late. I do feel that the hotel is better suited to those familiar with Gauteng or the no frills business traveler who only requires a place to sleep, clean up and have something to eat When booking online always check the address of the hotel, Garden Court Sandton can easily be mistaken for Garden Court Sandton City which I consider the more "holiday friendly" option.

Thank you for posting your review on Tripadvisor.
We are pleased to advise that the wall we requested around the demolition site was finally erected last week, and this makes a huge difference to the entrance of our hotel. As the property does not belong to us, it took quite an amount of convincing to have this done.
Our lifts will be in 100% working condition on the 19th of March. This was an unfortunate inconvenience, and the only cause for delay was that the parts had to be manufactured overseas and shipped to South Africa. The festive season seriously delayed this process, but at least this will be a matter of the past.
The above has really made trading in such conditions challenging, however we remained focused on our guests, and trust that we met your expectations. We look forward to your return, whether you choose to stay with us or return to GC Sandton City.
