Stayed at the Sandon Sun & Towers on a business trip. There's another intercontinental across the road which is very confusing as I was dropped off at the other one, only to be told it was on the other side of the road! Checking in was swift and good, was offered an adapter which was excellent, and free internet access - which was pretty fast, I thought. Had dinner in the hotel on the first night which was pretty good and not bad prices either. Hotel gym was very good - new equipment and overlooks the pool, so you can watch the sun set whilst on the treadmill! Breakfast was good - wide variety of choice of food. Room was nice - I had a corner deluxe room. It got quite cold but I had the A/C on, so that helped. Rather dated, so it needs an uplift. The hotel offered everything I'd expect from a 5* but I must say, it was an expensive hotel. Location was excellent - next to Sandton City (shopping centre) and Nelson Mandela Square which has tons of excellent restaurants. I'd probably stay there again if I come back on business.
