This is a nice hotel, conveniently located just across the street from the Sandton Gautrain station which goes directly to the airport in about 15-20 mins. BIG plus! The hotel is quite new with interesting and airy décor and nice rooms, although some can be a little on the small side. I got upgraded to a suite on my last visit and that was definitely a very spacious room. All rooms have nice beds and good showers too. Internet speed is pretty good all over the hotel. The pictures show a pool, but it isn't really a pool, more like a big hot tub. Ask for a room away from the busy street below as that can be a little noisy for the light sleeper.

Also ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was very nice and the menu varied.

My main issue with the hotel is the service at check-in. It seems very chaotic especially in the morning when a lot of people arrive from the overnight flights in Jo'burg. The other issue is that the hotel claims to be affiliated with all sorts of airline programs but despite taking my British Airways card number every time I have stayed there, nothing has ever appeared on my BA statement (contrary to other hotels I stay in in Jo'burg).

Firstly, its right opposite of the Gautrain station so nothing cant beat that in Sandton. Secondly, its a Radisson Blu which means its a serious property. The room was designed a business traveller in mind, everything is in a right place to make my life easier. I stayed for a week and had a smile on my face cause I knew to appreciate how well things worked here. Sure there were some minor minuses like the hefty price tags on everything but one has to realise that when checking into a large 5star chain anywhere in the world. Those promotional videos dont pay for themself i found.
If you looking for a solid working hotel with the easiest access to the airport then this is your choice. Just bring your wallet.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay, straight across the road from the Gautrain Station.
Plenty of places to eat behind the station in Mandela Square.
When we checked in they offered us a late checkout if we needed it, as they knew the flight back to Sydney had a 1800 Departure.
The rooms are very well appointed
We found Sandton a very safe place to stay in.
We walked back from Mandela Square after having Dinner which was about 10.30pm, even though the hotel driver said he would come and collect us.

We would stay here again, next time in Jo'Berg

Would I recommend it !? Yes, but service is what makes the experience uneven.
Stayed there 3 times during the month so had the chance to test 3 rooms. Rooms are of good quality, well equipped and spacious enough.
Bathroom is great, enough space within cupboards, safe deposit box welcomes a 15'' laptop, and desk is well equipped, including high speed internet plug, well thought.
Bed is comfortable and bed linens of good quality.

Sleep quality : windows could be a bit more noise canceling, especially if your room is traffic facing. Further, ventilation produces noise even when turned off.

Smell: try not to have a room on 4th floor just above restaurant as kitchen smell will come to your room.

Service : some people from reception to restaurant are just great. An here a special mention to Lucky, who greats you with such a smile and takes care of you with warmth that all your worries disappear instantly.

Where service can improve is especially at reception. Courteous and helpful staff should teach others who are clearly stressed out how to keep calm and client focused.
It is never great when your call is welcomed by a sigh or when checking in they let you know that the hotel is overbooked and the first proposal is to send you to the next door hotel for one night...

Food:
Restaurant is of very good quality and execution.

Cleanliness : uneven in the room. Finding some hair that clearly does not belonged to me is not to my taste...

General atmosphere : light, modern, spacious, centrally located and so close to Gautrain.

All in : just a bit better would make it excellent.
