I travel to Pretoria for business at least once a month and we stay at the Courtyard for a week at a time. It has become like a second home. The staff is so friendly and helpful and that is what makes the place great. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, and microwave/fridge. The location is in a quiet area and you can walk to some shops about 10 min away, but not safe at night, better if you have a car. Breakfast is typical courtyard buffet, not amazing, esp considering the price but it is fine. There is wireless but after the first 15 min you have to pay per min/gb. There is a nice happy hour every day from 5-7 pm with free drinks and snacks.

My husband stays at this hotel quite frequently for business and last week I joined him. Pleasant location in Hill Street, which at the right time of year is lined with Jacaranda trees. The rooms are clean, bright and spacious with kitchenettes. There is a small pool area. Breakfasts are goodl. The hotel operates a happy hour from 6-7pm. Staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. I would recommend it.

This hotel is my default location when I'm in Pretoria for business. Conveniently located in the embassy district and minutes away from all the government buildings (literally a few blocks from the Union Buildings).

This is a typical Courtyard Hotel with separate rooms spread out across the property. All rooms are small suites with a bathroom, sitting area and foyer/kitchenette. The hotel also has a convenient arrangement with Woolworths foods allowing you to order items for delivery to your room. An extensive take away/room service selection is also available.

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers free drinks and snacks in the evening and serves a lovely breakfast (although we normally opt for muesli in the room). An extensive guest office with free printing is available. One suggestion would be that they increase the paltry 30MB free Wifi allowance (this is really silly).

With the opening of the new Hatfield Gautrain station, the hotel is extremely conveniently located - only a stress-free train ride from the airport. The Gautrain Bus stops only a block from the hotel. If you need to move about I would recommend getting a rental car though.

In short, a good hotel for a convenient business stay in Pretoria. It is not very luxurious, but the homey feel makes up for this.

I don't write a review every time I stay here, which is often. This is still a fantastic hotel in quiet location close to everything in central Pretoria. If you don't have a car the hubbub of Hatfield is a short and fairly safe walk through the embassy district (with associated security) and if you do have a car (which I recommend) it is easy to access from the freeways.
This isn't a resort hotel, other than a pool and the comfortable lounge there isn't much else to do here, but it's perfectly fine for a business stay. The staff are always terrific; friendly, helpful and professional and the breakfast is good too. The food delivery arrangement with nearby restaurants works well and there is a Woolworth supermarket a few blocks away to stock up your kitchenette.
The laundry service is a weak spot; don't send your best items or anything complicated in, as you can never be sure that it will come back pristine. The rooms are starting to wear badly and it’s a bit of hit-and miss whether you get one with a noisy air conditioner and sagging bed or not. If you can, try to wangle one of the few rooms in the main manor house. They are huge and quite special.
