My wife and I received a very warm welcome from Vissie on our arrival at 246, it is a beautiful thatched house and our room was beautifully decorated and furnished with everything we could need, the adjacent bathroom was equally good.
The included continental breakfast was beautifully presented and more that adequate for our needs, there were tea and coffeee making facilties just outside the door and the fridge in the room contained a jug of fresh fruitjuice, a microwave was also provided.
An additional bonus was the rusks provided with the coffee makiing eqyuipment. There were also glasses provided to cover all eventualities. Vissie visited us each morning to enquire whether we were adequately provided for and ensure our wellbeing. The provided laundry service was also much appreciated. % star provision at a 3 star price , it was excellent accomodation and value for money. Thankyou Vissie for making our stay so enjoyable.

I should have written this ages ago and am now doing so because everytime we discuss our last trip to SA we end up coming back to our great memories of 246 Milner and Vissie and Leo's hospitality.

We started our trip in Pretoria (flying into J'Burg) and the first thing we did was to leave a passport at the rental car agency. While driving to the B&B they called Leo and he was kind enough to leave to meet the agency and pick up our documents. That pretty much set the tone for our stay with them (which we were able to extend after a week away on safari). Leo and Vissie recommended the most amazing Indian and Italian restaurants and when we were briefly without a car even drove us there and picked us up again later. Their gardens and the wonderful Waterkloof area are a peaceful safe haven after a long hot day.

Another thing that stood out were the superb breakfasts- always elegant and tasty and most often we were joined by Jabu- their adorable little dog. The house itself was wonderful. By the end of our time there we felt that we were leaving home. We hadn't intended to stay so long in Pretoria, but there really is quite a bit to do and with such a comfortable and affordable setting we couldn't bear to go! On our next visit we will definitely come back! In the meantime we just hope that they'll eventually make it to Seattle so that we can treat them even 1/2 as well.
