Stayed here 2 times during our travel in South Africa, 1 night after arriving with an intercontinental flight and before heading east towards Kruger, and 1 night after driving back from Mpumalanga and before traveling further to PE.
The lodge is located very close to Johannesburg airport, and we stayed at the hotel twice and made use of the handy shuttle service, which is often driven by Armand, the owner of the hotel, himself. Armand and his fiancee are very nice and friendly people, who made us feel welcome right away.
The lodge consists of the main building with the rooms on the side and is surrounded by a wall with a fenced gate and looked and felt properly secured.
The rooms, which are spread over the compound and are accessed through the garden, are quite spacious and very comfortable with good quality beds, which is a real plus after traveling non-stop for about 24 hours. Bathroom and shower were good as well, although one thing to note is that (in the front rooms, where we stayed, at least) the bathroom is open to the room. This did not bother us much as a couple, but can imagine e.g. friends traveling together would see have some issues with that.
The gardens were pleasant to hang around in when we were waiting to leave for the airport, and there is a nice common room with a honesty bar where you can relax and have drink. Breakfast is served in the adjacent restaurant area and consisted of a well-filled buffet plus eggs / bacon made to order.
All in all we had two really nice stays in this hotel, and we will definitely stay here when we return to South Africa.
