Moyo is one of those amazing placed. Prices are fair, atmosphere is amazing. Food and Drinks also amazing. Service is simply out of this world.

“Incredible atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

From the moment you step into the grounds of Moyo you are swept away by the authentic atmosphere that surrounds you. The friendly staff effortless attend to your every need and the quality of the food is excellent. The lady who comes around to paint your face is lovely and she explains the unique design she produces in a matter of moments. A great wine list is available to complement your meal. Altogether a first class dining experience and highly recommended.

“Leisurely experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Why don't foreigners who come to SA get into the groove and realize TIME means something else in Africa. Most of the complaints on this site are about HOW LONG people waited for service, a drink, a menu, their food. Moyo's is a charming friendly place that serves OK food, but the whole point of going there is to have a pleasant AFRICAN experience! It is not a fast food outlet! And being in Africa means we have time. Last nite 4 of our party had the buffet - one complaint the food was NOT hot and ice cold by the time they had brought it to the table - two of us had tangines - me the chicken with preserved lemon and one the lamb - both came piping hot, too hot to touch and delicious beyond words. Rather chose one dish you fancy than eat all that half cold food that has been standing around (unless you get there early in the session).

Interesting decor, good service and African touches on menu. Pet friendly. On the lake with plenty indoor as well as outdoor seating. Great vibe.

“Poor service but good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We booked a table and arrived on time, yet were left waiting for 45 minutes before being seated at a makeshift table in the bar area while plenty other who came in before us got decent tables. Drinks order took an age and we were left to sit and watch our drinks on the bar for about 15 mins before they were brought over. The food was really good though. Undecided if it was worth the wait though. I've head that other Moyo restaurants are excellent though so maybe pass on this one and go to one of the others.
