My wife and I just got back from celebrating our 11th Anniversary, a fantastic achievement, capped off by a fantastic dining experience at Pigalle.
Let me say that all did not get off to a great start, as we were not seated in the area I had requested. The manner in which this issue was handled, however, showed the class of the owners and staff, as arrangements and apologies were made with no fuss and the evening began in earnest.
From the opening complimentary espresso cup of spicy butternut soup to the final spoon of the finest Creme Brûlée outside of Paris every dish was created with obvious care and a passion for honest cuisine that delivers in taste, portion size and presentation.
The Slow Roasted Duck in Grand Marnier was a revelation in a restaurant renowned for its lavish shellfish platters and the service was superb and attentive without being intrusive.
This restaurant is not cheap, but it is one of those rare finds...a place that is worth every cent!
