My wife and I were invited to dinner by friends, but I was asked to choose a restaurant. I chose nervously because I could not find a restaurant that only had good reviews. Although Coobs has an overall good score I have read a few bad reviews of this restaurant. I must say that I am sorry for those diners that had a bad experience at Coobs because we had a great evening - good food, friendly service, nice vibe and no bleats about opening our own wine and paying corkage!
The menu was interesting. 2 of us tried the wild boar ragu which was excellent. I was full by the time the dessert menu camed around, but could not resist the churros (small finger shaped donuts - crisp on the outside, soft and delicate inside with melted Belgian chocolate). They were even better than any review I had read.
We will be back.
