“Two day safari”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

A really enjoyable way to safari. We were collected from our hotel, in Johannesburg, and driven to Pilansberg safari park. We chose the two day tour, staying one night in a chalet. The chalet was nice, three star, and served our needs. Most of the time you are out in the van looking for the big five. Instead of the park jeep we stayed in our van with the driver, roger, who had picked us up. This was so much easier and more personal than the open top jeeps. roger kept us entertained and worked hard to find good spots to view the animals. He van option is also a lot warmer than the frozen characters you see on the park jeeps. I would definitely recommend two days, you see more being in the park during the morning, by lunch time many of the animals are resting in the baking sun!

Hi Julian, thank you for taking the time to write the great review, it is appreciated. Driving in a normal closed vehicle does have its comfort advantages and you can drive in the park as long as you want to. Two days is great, you are correct, the more time you can spend it the park the better as you definitely see more.
Kind Regards
Glen

“Absolutely excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

We emailed Glen a couple months ago to arrange a 4 day Safari and we have had nothing but very very helpful and patient replies. He was very knowledgeable about lodges and where to stay and recommended Sausage Tree Safari Camp which turned out to be the most amazing lodge we could ask for. Glen picked us up from Johannesburg and proceeded to drive us for 6 hours to the lodge. He was so lovely and shared lots of interesting information about South Africa that made those 6 hours fly past. We also stopped at Blyde River Canyon which was breathtaking!

Overall, you couldn't ask for a more organised and friendlier person to help plan day trips! Communication was quick and helpful, and he even sent reminders to bring warm clothes and hats as it could get really cold. Would definitely recommend everyone to go with Go Safari.

Hi Karen
It was a pleasure to arrange the safari, and drive you to Sausage Tree. I am really happy that you enjoyed Sausage Tree, it does have a great "safari atmosphere". It was a pity I had to come back to JNB and could not stay there for the 1 night. Thank you for taking time to write this great review while you are still on holiday here in SA. I am sure you are enjoying Cape Town as well.
I certainly hope I have the pleasure of meeting you both again.
Glen

“Trusted guide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We asked Go Safari to arrange our safari visit to Pilanesberg National Park. They recommended a wonderful bush lodge and we truly enjoyed the experience. Go Safari was puncture, friendly and easy to work with. We had quite a few correspondence beforehand and Susan and Glen were patient with my inquiries and easy going. This is our first time to Africa and so it was easy and trouble free to have them arranged our visit. I highly recommend them.

Hi MTR5959, thank you for taking time to write this review, I do appreciate it. Staying at one of the smaller lodges in the Black Rhino concession area of Pilanesberg is great and worth the extra traveling and cost. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and being interested in Geology Pilanesberg was is a bonus.
We always do our best to make our guests have an enjoyable, trouble free visit to our stunning country.
Until next time
Glen

“Just what we were looking for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

Was in Pretoria to visit daughter, on internship from college. We decided to look for an "affordable" safari, but it had to be one where we were taken out to see animals. We drove to Bakubung Bush Lodge, after receiving a quote, with full itinerary. That sold us. It was complete and detailed so I knew what to expect. It's an easy 2 hour drive from Pretoria. The lodge was lovely and rooms a bit luxurious! The food, all buffet and included in price was varied and delicious. But of course, the best part were the game drives. 3-4 hours long and we saw them all, big 5, little 5 and ugly 5, as one of the guides called them. The scenery was stunning and the guides knowledgable. Worth every penny. My daughters and I will never forget our safari!

Hi Joan, I am glad we could help and arrange this safari for you on short notice. You where lucky to see the big 5 and shame the poor ugly five as well. Pilanesberg is ideal and close enough to be able to go for a three day safari.
Thank you very much for the kind review, just a pity I was not able to meet you - well maybe next time.
Kind Regards
Glen

“Day trip from Johannesburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Booked the 1 day Pilanesberg trip on the web and had a very good experience. I received confirmation emails prior to the trip that elaborated on where and when to meet. Then on the day of the trip I received printed material to keep as a reference. The pickup from the Hotel was as scheduled and the events of the day also played out as scheduled. Had a brief visit to Sun City which is something I had wanted to see for years. On the Safari, we saw Elephants in the daytime and a Leopard just as the sun was going down. The Leopard was not concerned with our Safari vehicle at all. The whole trip was interesting. Would definitely recommend it if you have limited time and want to see a little bit of nature when staying in Johannesburg.

Hi StevensCreek, we are lucky to have Pilanesberg so close to Johannesburg so we can offer day tours to this great big 5 reserve so you can experience a bit of our "bush". You where however very lucky to see the leopard so clearly.
I am glad Stephen made time to take you to Sun City as well and that you enjoyed the short visit to "Africa's Kingdom of Pleasure".
Thank you for writing this great review!
Regards
