This Saturday visited the market with a guest from Manhattan - New York who read about the market in the New York Times article "36 hours in Johannesburg". It was my first time there - so it was a new experience for both of us. The crowd was mostly well dressed 30ish and the food is fantastic. A nice variety to choose from. My guest chose to buy some organic wine which she walked around the market tasting all the other nice goodies on offer. We chose a flatbread with artichokes, avocado, flaked cheese - really loved it. Then got a Paella to share. Started off with fresh oysters, and she had a marguarita (i was driving). We arrived at about 12 - so the vibe was pumping. Safe area to park and car guards in attendance for a small tip. Not really much else there, but great place for lunch.
