This is a family business, mama and papa and their daughter run the place. It is very popular, always rather book ahead, esp for Sat and Sunday lunch. They serve traditional but innovative Italian food, always very tasty and not too much oil or butter. Try the fennel salad or the sole, or the veal, the food is great!

It was great sunny day. We thought we´d like to have lunch at one of the best pasta restaurant in Jo´burg, so we found this restaurant and had lunch there.
First of all, service was very slow and not friendly.
The place is pretty and seems popular but spagetti was not that great as everybody comments about. All dishes are a bit more expensive than Johannesburg/Cape Town avarage. But pasta is fresh but a bit too soft and not that impressive taste we both agreed.
We come to South-Africa often. We love fine dining but never found great Italian restaurant so far, include pasta and pizza. So this is also one of them.
About this restaurant, what I didn´t like was the atmosphere their staff creat. As I mention, it was slow and also not friendly. But when we check, the waiter suddenly start to say ´Thank you thank you thank you thank you...´too many times. It was unpleasent lunch experience.

Consistently good Italian food! Try the pear and gorgonzola salad/or Tiger Prawn salad followed by Bisteca Grigilia and the Tarimisu! All the food and wine s excellent as is the service. Great for families and also patronised by the gastronomical cognoscenti! The restaurant is not ostentatious, nor does it pretend to aspire to fine dining. It is a little pricey and looking upon a car park, patrons don"t go for the views! I return again and again for consistently great Italian food served by Mama!

The pasta dishes here are delicious. This family run restaurant serves up real rib sticking food. The portion are good although I found them a bit pricey. Service was good.
