Stayed here during the WC in South Africa, and loved it. It’s an Afrikaans family that decided to get into the tourist trade during the WC and build 3 room additions onto their house. The rooms are absolutely great with very modern and comfortable amenities. There include TV, coffee/tea pot, mini bar and snack bar. Rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with great beds to get some sleep after a long trip.
Bathrooms are modern and include soap, towels, etc - ours only had a shower, and I think all of the rooms did - no baths.
The best part was the hospitality shown to our group by Arra's (the owner) family. They cooked a huge meal for us in true Afrikaans fashion called a braai (BBQ). The food was plentiful and the company was fun. They made us apart of their lives and took care of us. They also had a bar where you could buy great South African wines or beers. In the morning they served a light breakfast of fruit and yogurt - probably a good thing - we all ate too much.
The pricing was decent, there is a lot of price gouging in South Africa, but Arra's Guest House is what I would expect to pay at any good B&B in Europe or the US. It was very secure also, they had parking for our cars inside a large metal gate and wall (around the entire house).
Overall, we loved every minute of it, and were sad to leave after only one night in Bloemfontein. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
