“A perfect romantic dinner!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

We got married at the Armagh and Rafters Restaurant on the 8th Oct 2011 and returned there on Monday night to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary! Marion went to alot of effort and even decorated the whole table according to the colour theme of our wedding, got a cake and cupcakes made to match and even got us a gift! It was an amazing evening with Marie, Johan and the rest of the staff being abolute stars! Their new menu is divine and Andre had the most to - die -for pork belly ribs! My tomoatoe lamb bredie was absolutely scrumptious!!! A highly recommended restaurant that we will be back to visit in the near future!!! Thanks guys you made our wedding anniversary!

“Good food, friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

There isn't that many restaurants in storms river/tsitsikamma, thus this place was a pleasant surprise, the ostrich pie was delicious. Accepts American express, and was one of the first places in a while that has.

“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

Warm friendly welcome and service.
Tasty traditional food. We had Chicken Curry and Lamb shank pie.
For dessert Traditional Cape Brandy Pudding which was excellent.
We were seated close to the fireplace, very welcome as it was a wet and cold night.
Would recommend this restaurant.

“Good food, nice service and treat yourself to a spa treatment at the lodge if you can”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2012 via mobile

We didn't stay at the lodge but enjoyed a massage for two as well as some dinner at rafters restaurant. The EPA was very good and highly recommend after a hike in the national park. The restaurant was intimate and friendly, with mainly local delicacies on the menu. The food was tasty but perhaps not excellent but definately better than the American diner in the village.

“Strange and not to recommend”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2010

We are staying in Storm River Village for 2 days and visisted the Rafters restaurant onthe first evenning. already by entering the restaurant we were aks if we are residents ofthe lodge and we didn't have the feeling to be welcome. After we told the waitress that we are from "The Woods" guesthouse, she aswered "ah nice prize"...that was unbelieveable!!!
The interior of the restaurant wasn't looking like that of a 4 stars lodge. A big hole in the dirty roof and a strange decoration with spiders...
The food wasn't also very delicious. we had Curied Chicken a la Destrict Six and Curied Fish. We thout that it was convinient food heated in the microwave. The fish tatse like from the tin and the vegaetables areheated frozen ones. The rize was not very hot. As a toping there was a undefinable herb leaf on each of the meals.
We both do not finished our meal becuse it wsn#t one of the worst meals we have ever eaten!!! The waitress didn't even ask for a reason why left most of our food on the plate.
We can't recommend this restaurant to people wich want to eat fresh food!!!

The only good think was the good selection of local wines.
