“Good but pricy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Very good hotel, clean, good location but this hotel is very pricy $$$ but there not much choice around. It very close to monument valley. Good breakfast in the morning and the restaurent for dinner was very good. The only thing we did not like was the price to high for the Hampton.

That is not meant to slam the area, as the sights and surroundings are generally breathtakingly beautiful. This property sparkles with native influence. Our pet friendly room was spotless, the bed comfy and free breakfast quite adequate. We love it whe. Our timing allows us the pleasure of staying here.

Room Tip: We have to accept whatever location due to "pet friendly" restrictions.

Kayenta, AZ, exists in its current form because someone had the foresight to build a motel close to where Hwy 160 meets Hwy 163. That makes it the nearest "town" to Monument Valley, which is the main reason that people would stay here and a key reason why the room rate is higher than one would expect in this part of the world.

Hey, it's a Hampton Inn, so you pretty much know what to expect, and they came through reasonably well. It has the only restaurant in town, not counting the next-door Burger King. I would have liked to have a mini-fridge in the room, but that's a minor quibble. Going to Monument Valley? Stay here.

Excellent choice. Good location close to the Monument Valley. Beautiful lobby with local colors and style. Everything is clean and nice. Cute rooms. Some might say bit small but not a problem for us (family of 3). Dogs welcome. Very nice restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Portions are BIG!!! Will definitely stay again.

The Hampton Inn in Kayenta is right next to Monument Valley on the AZ/UT border. The sights are otherworldly and we made the decision to stay in this hotel when we went to see them. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is good and hearty and the rooms were clean. Even though Hampton Inn is known for a no-frills experience, this hotel has a beautiful lobby that is decorated very well. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms adequate although beds rather too soft for us. Good linens. Well lit bathroom, meagre toiletries. Good location for visiting Monument Valley. Friendly welcome. Restaurant serves high quality South Western junk food but so do all restaurants round here....ample size of resident population testifies to pretty awful local diet. But restaurant service good and gift shop worth a browse. NO alcohol allowed (on Navaho reservation land) although everyone was smuggling some in,(don't forget to smuggle out empties) and don't be tempted by the alcohol free wine, truly awful. Free breakfast consisted of polyester scrambled egg, DIY toast on plastic plates and paper cups, gave it a miss on day 2. But we would stay again as probably the best in the area.

We were on a road trip, it was dark and was pouring down snow, roads quickly getting slick. We were able to get a room here that night. Everything was perfect, very clean and crisp. It was a perfect place to stay!
