“Nice, expensive facility”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

This appears to be a relatively new facility. It has a large, very nice lobby area. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Presumably because of its location close to Monument Valley and the limited number of other hotels in the area (just one other as far as I could tell), the room rate was rather high. But that’s just supply and demand. I would strongly recommend that you be sure to lock your car and hide any valuables left inside. On departure, we encountered a panhandler in the hotel parking lot, and we’d seen quite a few at service stations and fast food restaurant in the Chinle area. We never felt threatened, but I suspect unsecured valuables would quickly disappear.

This is literally the only option just outside of Monument Valley - if you are not staying inside the grounds itself. So, of course, Hilton is going to capitalize on this and charge a ridiculous amount ($250, give or take a few dollars) for a below average property. It does have a full service restaurant in the hotel with a nice looking outdoor area, but we didn't eat - so can't offer any conclusions as to the quality of the food. The staff was nice enough and the entire place is themed in the Navajo style - complete with a gift shop for those who want to buy trinkets. As long as you come to terms that you are really overpaying due to lack of any competitors in the area, you will be fine.

This was an impeccably clean hotel. The room was great and it even had a restaurant for dinner!! This is one of the nicest Hamptons I've stayed at. Great stay great room and great staff. It is located in the heart of the reservation. I would Definately stay again here.

We had a wonderful experience at this very clean hotel. As with anything there might be an issue or two - we had three, but the helpful staff worked to resolved everything! I highly recommend this hotel!

This was a second choice of a hotel while visiting Monument Valley. Our first was full; however, this hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The hotel staff were very friendly when we arrived and they had cookies. Our room was nice and clean and I enjoyed the Navajo style decorating. The restaurant wasn't too bad. The portions were big and it's probably the best place to eat in Kayenta. The breakfast in the morning was substantial and filling. The hotel also had a neat little store selling all kinds of Navajo related things.

What a fantastic treat! We were thrilled with the staff, decor, cleanliness and service at this Hampton location. We arrived late, (minutes before restaurant closing time) yet the hostess and servers smiled graciously and seated us. The variety and quality of the meals were outstanding, along w. the hospitality; above and beyond, as the staff had to stay late on our behalf. Four of us were traveling together, and repeatedly commented on how lucky we were to find this exceptional Hampton. Above and beyond in every aspect, including a spectacular gift shop with variety and quality items for sale. We were sorry we only had one nite to stay there.
Those who choose to have alcohol/wine should be aware that it is not available at this facility.

We stayed here one night after visiting Monument Valley. Check-in was easy and the room was very nice and clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good only downside is that because the hotel is on indian land they do not serve alcohol.
