“Nice Surprise in a Small Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

This was the last hotel in a string of hotels on our spring break drive.
Very friendly, clean, good breakfast, comfortable beds.
Excellent wifi and TV reception.
We did not use the pool because it was late when we arrived and early when we left but it looked clean and nice.

I was there for one night and I found the staff very friendly. Breakfast was also good (usually stuff). Rooms were big and clean.
Our neighbor was pretty loud but this had nothing to do with the hotel. They also have fast wifi, but only one person can use it at a time!

This hotel was very comfortable and a great choice for anyone staying in Kayenta. I chose the hotel based on the Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We arrived early and there was no problem checking in. The pillows were a little hard which could be a bit annoying. Considering the location of Kayenta, the internet and TV were pretty good. The only issue we had was at breakfast. The hotel had more guests than could be accommodated and we ended up going to the MacDonald's.

The 24 of March 2014 we stayed at the Wetherill Inn and this place was very nice. I would highly recommend it if you are visiting Monument Valley. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. It also had everything we might need from a flat screen TV, and Wifi. We did not use the indoor pool, but that was nice. For breakfast they offered Hot cakes, cereal, muffins, coffee, hard boiled eggs, a great breakfast. Overall it was a great trip and a good nights sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I stayed on the second floor and it was very quiet.

We have just had 2 nights at the Wetherill Inn in Kayenta and we highly recommend it if you are visiting Monument Valley (about 30 miles away). The hotel is not in the "luxury"class but everything about this hotel is great....it is clean, comfortable, with spacious well-equipped rooms, free wifi, easy parking, and good breakfast...all at a very reasonable rate. We slept really well...the beds are comfortable and the bedding is lovely. Our rate was $72 per night, which compared to $149+ + at the nearby Hampton Inn. We have stayed at the HI in the past...and can't justify the extra costs when the Wetherill Inn is so good. The breakfast is certainly sufficient, and includes cereals, toast, boiled eggs, fruit as well as pancakes etc. The rooms face the morning sun and it was nice to stand in the sunshine on the balcony each morning. The rooms look across the car park so you can park close to your room and also keep an eye on your car.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have the nice morning sunshine and an open outlook across the car park to the cliffs...

Our room was one of the smaller "commercial" rooms, at a great price. But it came with a coffee maker, refrigerator, iron and board, hair dryer and shampoo, conditioner, hair cap and other items. We did not use the indoor swimming pool, although it was available.

This motel has the best "included" motel breakfast we have ever seen. Pancakes, boiled eggs, cereals, breads and muffins, canned fruit, juices and coffees, with all the condiments possible. Service is in a comfortable room with a new TV.

The desk staff, who also runs the gift shop, was quite friendly and actually offered us lower rates than those I found on line. She helped me figure out a Navajo recipe I want to try and sold me a dandy-looking Indian-Mexican Recipe book.

We liked this place so much that we returned a second night after touring Mystery Valley and Monument Valley for a long day

Room Tip: Commercial rooms are less expensive, although smaller.

I spent two nights here during a photo trip to Monument Valley. My room was nicely furnished (bed was very comfortable), very quiet (despite the fact that it appeared to be full), and very clean. It was my impression that the property has been remodeled lately. A large flat screen TV, wifi and a fridge rounded out the features. There is a microwave in the ice/vending area if you want to warm something up. Note: you can only connect one device to the wifi at a time, which is not a big deal. The breakfast was a bit limited, but good. The staff was friendly and housekeeping was quick and thorough. Overall, I was very pleased and if I get back this way, I will gladly stay here.
