We recently spent the night at the plantation as we were invited to a wedding there. We looked at the website and decided to book 3 rooms / cottages, one of which, was supposed to be the bridal suite. We arranged early check in of 12.00 as the wedding was due to start at 15.00 and we were travelling long distance.
On arrival at 1.30 the rooms were not ready for us. Once we were able to occupy the rooms at 14.00 we were terribly disappointed. Not only was the bridal suite not one of the rooms, Room #1 was terribly filthy and had a terrible odour. There was water on the kitchen floor near the fridge, big spider webs, dust hung from the roof trusses and the bathroom terribly used looking and dirty. The bathrooms in all 3 units we rented were in such a state that none of us were able to use the bath or shower. Apart from this there are no facilities to eat or dine, nor contact reception. The venue itself (chapel) is beautiful for weddings but the accommodation is by far the worst I have EVER experienced in my life.
