The hotel is a wonderful place. We had a light lunch in the lounge of this grand hotel. The staff very very friendly and attentive. The menu presented was stylish and the meal sublime. My friends from the UK, have enjoyed their visit to PE. We shall be coming back again in February 2012.
Stayed at this hotel for one night . Chose it because of it's proximity to the airport, it really is less than 10 minutes away! Public areas were attractive and the staff was friendly. We stayed in one of the less expensive rooms and ours was very clean, nicely decorated, and in good repair. We had dinner at "Ginger" and it was good but not exceptional. Nice beach was right across the street, and a casino, shopping mall complex was right next door. Was busy and vibrant during the day but we did not like the vibe at night.
Stayed as part of a trip to south africa. Arrival was poor. Extra bed in our room was not ready for my daughter. There was mould stains in the bathroom security chain was broken. Dirty rooms. TV was so old that the remote control unit had no readable buttons. There was also wires hanging from the sockets Had dinner in restaurant and food was very poor stail rolls etc. They asked if we wanted wine gave us a list and eventually asked what we wanted after they cleared the main course plates. Breakfast also was really bad. I would advise anyone considering thus hotel to look else where as it is definitely not a 4 star.
We spent 4 nights at the beach hotel which is next to a boardwalk incorporating a casino. Also attached to the hotel is Ginger , one of the best restaurants in PE. we actualy ate there 3nights out of 4! We would reccommend hiring a car and driving along the garden route as there are many great spots to visit, especially storms river mouth and addo elephant reserve. seaview sanctuary is also worth a visit as they have lion cubs. There is a great shopping mall called greenacres just out of town and we found the whole area pretty safe. The hotel is located on the beach with great terrace views and also just 10 mins from airport. PE is being developed into a great tourist spot as they are moving the commercial side of the port, there is also a new sports stadium. This place is on the up!!
