“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Milkwood Manor is a wonderful B&B in a prime location with wonderful views of the Outinequa Mountains. Sand on Lookout Beach has returned in the last few months so is right outside the hotel. There is a very good restaurant at the hotel and the Lookout Restaurant is a short walk across the beach. The staff were friendly. The manageress was particularly helpful and knowledgeable about anything we wanted to know about in the area. We had a back room so only a view of the sea on the balcony. I would definitely ask for a sea view. The service of our room could have been improved but otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room upstairs

We found the Milkwood Manor to be a hidden treasure of Plettenberg Bay. Cozy, friendly and clean, and with a boutique feeling to it, plus a very helpful staff, we felt as if we were home. We got a sea view room so it was very nice to sit in our balcony and watch and listen to the ocean.

Room Tip: Try to go for a sea view room.

Milkwood Manor at Plettenberg Bay is superb. Would not stay anywhere else. Beautiful location overlooking the beach, rooms very comfortable with everything you need. Kees, the owner is so helpful, and a wonderful host. The staff are lovely, breakfasts and evening meals excellent.
We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the beach. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 6 was excellent, apart from balcony overlooking the ocean, it also has a side window which also...

My question would be simply, why stay in a hotel? Knowledgeable owners, amazing views with a stunning sunrise and lovely rooms. Great place to say in Plett right on the beachfront with a great adjoining restaurant.

This is the third time we have stayed at Milkwood Manor and would have
no hesitation about going back for a fourth/fifth ......... We have always found the owner, Kees,
to be the perfect host and gentleman, ensuring that our every comfort and needs
were met. We found the room to be excellent quality and comfortable, breakfast was
served by the very welcoming and courteous staff. All in all, we would recommend this
Hotel to anyone who visits Plettenberg Bay.

Milkwood manor is spectacular located: at the end of the road, directly at the beach.
The interieur is exquisite (maritime like expected). WLAN included.
The room was fantastic with a balcony and a view over the bay.
Every morning we've got some hints about sightseeing plus some maps and explanations by the owner Keen. He makes the rounds at breakfast and advises on things to do.

It's a perfect hideaway:
+ nice and comfortable room
+ very clean
+ good bed
+ kind and perfect service
+ very good breakfast
+ daily car wash (surprising)

Thank you very much!

Its a great setting with wonderful hosts and all around helpful staff. Its the first hotel we have stayed in EVER that we had someone cleaning our car when we came outside. Super friendly owner who makes the rounds at breakfast and advises on things to do. We are not big bird fans but on his suggestion squeezed in 'birds of Eden'...serious surprise and was great to add t the trip. The hotel is conveniently located a 5 min walk when the tides out to another bar/restaurnat informal dining place..worth a visit. A few more additions to Milkwood manors vast fish menu (ie something non fishy..but hey its a hotel by the sea...i know I just fancied non fish for a night) and this place ticks all the boxes. Well worth a visit!

Exquisite, unimpeded 180 views (360 from the roof deck) of the vast blue ocean, golden beaches, large lagoon and the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountain Range. Blissful solitude and a complete immersion in nature, with only the sound of white-crested surf tumbling at one’s feet and the calls of a medley of seabirds – a veritable bird sanctuary.
