“LOVE IT”

Absolutely fascinating hands on experience + contributing to a great cause.

Most of the birds are undegoing rehabilitstion prior to release. i dont know if the show birds are in this category. I am sure I asked this question but I was way to pumped up to remember the answer now. The show is almost as good as any show at a decent birdparks but the difference is the size of the audience. whilst a show at a birdpark will have hundreds if not thousands of spectators, there were only 7 the day we went to 'Raptors'.

Whilst the number of bigger birds on show were limited, the smaller ones and the owls at very close proximity ( on your arm or your wrist most of teh time) more than adiquately filled in the void. And the children loved it.

While the Raptors show will always be that in size and/or performers, I really dont mind as its objective of its existence is conservation..education and adrenelin rushes are only the by products.

“Pure Magic - Thank You”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2011

What an experience and what a treat! After viewing the various birds on their perch it was an absolute delight to see them “work”! Dennis and his team are so dedicated in the rehabilitation of injured or captive raptors. To have a peregrine falcon or an owl landing on our gloved hands was just fantastic. I had never seen Spotted Eagle Owls before and to have two of them swooping around our head was mesmerizing. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. Given the chance we will certainly visit again.

“must see place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2010

This family owned attraction was the highlight of our Garden Route trip . Very conveniently located , this has to go on every itinerary . The flight shows are wonderfully interactive and witty . Every Rand you pay for admission is put to the best use for rescue , rehabilitation , release and public education . Very nice indeed .

“Most interesting and never been so up close to raptors before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2010

What a wonderful outing to this most interesting venue. Dennis was most informative and interesting with an obvious wealth of knowledge about our feathered friends. We just loved seeing some of these birds in free flight, especially the owls which are my favourites. The place was spotlessly clean and the birds in such good condition with shiny feathers. If you are in this part of the world do yourselves a favour and visit Eagle Encounters. It is well worth an hour of your time.
