“Nice views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We stopped by here for a quick walk to enjoy the scenery.

We took one of the shorter routes as we were quite tired but there are walks to suit different appetites.

The area is beautiful and we also spotted a large grouped of dolphins swimming and diving in the surf.

Well worth stopping by.

“Well worth the effort of the climb and narrow walk ways high above the sea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Wonderful views/s decent walk to blow the cobwebs away and 3 routes to suit most tastes and abilities. Good wildlife watching place apparently(everything had gone when we walked as a gale was blowing ).
We rated this experience as far better than Storms River Mouth suspension bridge which is busy and too many steps for most people to relax and enjoy it

“World Class Nature reserve”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

You often hear of The Monterrey Peninsular and The RSA Garden Route. Well this walk around the Robberg is a must The views are equal to the best you can get. The geology is unique and a visit to Nelsons cave a must Allow a full day , time the tides , walk leisurely and take a picnic lunch See the Tombola Watch the seals and sit and see if you can spot a Great White! Note walking the full Robberg is not for the unfit or faint hearted. But the walk to the island is "easy"

“On of the nicest day walks in the area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

It's about a 4 hour walk ... well worth the effort! Try and do it at low tide and you will be rewarded with some good intertidal pools to wade check out.

“Fantastic walk but watch the tides/wind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

We hiked the mid length trail one afternoon in September before leaving Plett. Its an easy to average walk, just wear good hiking boots and take plenty of water. There are some ups and downs, most notably a very long stretch of sand at the midway point. Make sure you follow the path correctly to avoid having to walk UP this rather than sliding down.

Our only concern, at which point I got VERY wet and genuinely thought I was going to die, was when we were returning to the car. The rocks are very slippery and the ocean was rough. With the tide coming in, we had no option but to press on. In the end, I ended up clinging on to the rocks and being splashed by the water. It was very scary and I wouldn't recommend it for children/young adults or the elderly. There were definitely waves which could have swept us away. I don't know whether this was because we timed it incorrectly (it was 2.30pm and the high tide wasn't until 4.30pm though) or whether because there was some wind at the time. We hadn't had any wind, and there was none predicted, so just be very careful.
