All in all, a good value for the money - convenient to freeway (2 blocks) yet quiet, room comfortable (but not fancy), older heating and cooling unit adequate but louder than newer equipment might be. Just watch out for two things - eat at the Arizona Family Restaurant back by the freeway (2 blocks), not at the hotel; and make sure you take all your personal belongings when you leave.
We noted other reviewers commented on restaurant, and we couldn't agree more: eat somewhere else. Restaurant operation is contracted out, and definitely shows. The night we checked in it had already closed, then at breakfast various items on the menu couldn't be served because the kitchen was waiting for deliveries. How many restaurants let breakfast inventory get so low that they can't serve roughly a quarter of their breakfast menu, including milk and fruit, without a morning delivery (which still hadn't arrived by 9 a.m.)? When we told our friends who had recommended the hotel, they said, "Oh, sorry, we forgot to tell you - eat at Arizona Family Restaurant. It's right back by the freeway (2 blocks) and run by a family which really cares about its food and its service. It's the best place in town." Yes, indeed!
Only other problem was we left a personal item in the room, which we noticed when we unpacked in a different city that night,. We immediately called Best Western Green Valley, and the desk clerk put us on hold to check 'lost and found.' Our item was quickly found, and we were promised it would be mailed to us at home. When we arrived home two weeks later, however, there was no package. We then called management, and they went out of their way to purchase and send us an identical replacement.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely...so long as the Arizona Family Restaurant is still there!
