This was Babbo's 3rd and final chance to earn my dollars, I'm done! My partner & I had lunch at this location for the second time yesterday(our first visit was the Cave Creek location)and again I was disappointed. On this particular visit, around 2:30 on Monday, my partner & I stood in the entrance unacknowledged for a few minutes(which we all know seems like an eternity when you're hungry)but I expect to be greeted right away even if I can't be seated in the same manner. There were just a few tables seated in the restaurant although judging from the state of the place it looked as though we had just missed the lunch rush. Finally a staff member, who was allowed to walk around wearing a ridiculous, long, gray scarf along with his uniform got around to seating us. It was a full 8 minutes after we were seated before anyone came to the table, this wouldn't even be excusable if the place was packed but with only 4 tables inside(counting ours) and 1 outside, unforgivable! The rest of our experience went by as our previous ones had, unremarkable food with unremarkable service. As I stated this was no isolated incident, my other visits were quite similar except for the excessive wait time after being seated. Someone really needs to come in & shake up this staff and management, they have aboslutely no customer service skills whatsoever or plain ol' manners. A "Welcome to Babbo, someone will be right with you" and "So sorry for the wait" would have gone a long way to turn this and other experiences around but it just doesn't seem as thought one member of the staff CARES. I just hope that the manager was in the back or something because if he or she was any of the staff I observed, this place is in trouble.
