“Didn't read the reviews first... Good thing”

I travel for business and that is what this hotel stay was for. I usually read the reviews here for every hotel that I stay in, but booked this one last minute and didn't get a chance. It's a good thing too, because I probably would have picked a different hotel that was farther away from the office that I was to be working at for this trip. This hotel was not perfect, but it was great for one night and I'm sure I would have been much less happy having to drive farther in the morning from a hotel that probably wouldn't have been any better and would have cost more. Let's start with the bad...

There honestly wasn't much. I didn't really like the fact that I had to wait quite a while to check in because there was only one person at the front desk and apparently the phones are quite busy. Not only did I have to wait quite a while before the front desk clerk could even talk to me, but he kept having to answer the phone while I was checking in, so it took much longer than normal. Having said that, I did arrive about an hour before the published check in time, so there may be another person at the front desk during the actual check in time. Also the person at the front desk was very nice and extremely helpful despite the phone situation.

There were some things in the room that I could have done without. Some peeling paint, wall paper, slight (probably) mildew damage in the bathroom. Now, for the price of this room these things were VERY minor. I booked this room on Expedia and it was one of the least expenisve in the area I needed to be in. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the room because of this. It seems that every time I book an inexpensive room to save the client money, I'm very very sorry I did. This was NOT the case at all here. I was also very surprised at reading the reviews here after I returned from my trip. Maybe I just got lucky with the room I got, but I didn't experience any of the problems reported at all.

Let me summarize real quick since this review is way too long for a one night stay. If you can get a good rate like I did ($99 when other hotel in the area were more), I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The complimentary high speed wireless, microwave and fridge were great. The room was perfectly fine. If you take into account the price, it was great! The staff I came into contact with were awesome. If I have to visit this client again I will definitely stay at this hotel again and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for any business traveler.

“Won't go back!!”

Quality Inn & Suites at Talavi

Horrible experience. Toilet broke, couldnt be fixed, couldnt be moved. 10% discount. big deal.
Rude front desk employee. Room not clean, 2 year old found "blue pill" on floor!!
Wont stay here again--even with "discount" on next visit. Not worth the hassle.

I stayed at the Quality Inn for two nights. The hotel has dirty halls and rooms, thin walls, and extremely noisy air conditioning. I checked three rooms trying to find somewhat quieter air-conditioning. They were all the same terribly noisy. My recommendation is to stay somewhere else.

The location is convenient for chain food restaurants and health spa --- but low on hygene. We had ants in both our original room and the second room we were moved into and mold in the bathroom. Ugh!
