“Stunning vistas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

Biking & hiking available. RV parking too. Would be a great place to trail ride if you have horses. Staff was friendly and helpful. Day or season passes can be purchased at the Visitor Center just a mile inside the park. Go and enjoy the sun!

“Not for the fit adventurist outdoor enthusiast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

We were looking for an activity near scottsdale. We wavered on where to go mountain biking. We have done camelback mountain for hiking and thought biking was a good change up. We've previously biked in Moab and in Lake Tahoe. The park was well kept but much more flat than anticipated with a somewhat drab surrounding scenery. The most quick climb you'd get at a time was 20 ft. If you'd like a moderate work out with little climb and challenge, this is definitely a good choice. If you'd like more runs and corners, perhaps you should try elsewhere. The facilities themselves were great, though. Probably worth the 6 dollar entrance fee.

“Be sure to stop at the visitor center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

This is a great park for hiking or biking. It has a $6 per car entrance fee. We hiked the scenic trail which was a very easy hike with little elevation gain. The bathrooms in the parking area were very nice, clean and well equipped. We had stopped at the visitors center on the way in and went back after the hike to see if the rock painting was still there and it was. We had fun learning to paint rocks and yes we were all adults! The staff in the visitor center are really wonderful people and can tell you anything about the park or the area. We are going to try and find a horseback riding trip to return.

“Fantastic Park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

This park has miles and miles of beautiful hiking and biking trails for all levels of ability. They also have great activities through the visitor center such as guided moonlit hikes, educational presentations on owls, etc. and they have Ranger Amy! She's a fantastic guide on the hikes and full of knowledge on the area, wildlife, and all the vegetation. Great place to go for kids and adults.

“Secluded with a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

This is a very well kept park with excellent sites for camping. We rented an RV site with full hook-ups and has an incredible view of the Four Peaks. The facilities are very clean and grounds are lovely for walking and day hikes.
