A reasonable place to sleep for one night. No elevator and outside access to rooms gives it a motel feel. Outdoor pool not inviting in April in this part of the state. Free breakfast a step above minimal. Cottonwood is close to Sedona (close by Arizona standards anyway) and cheaper all around. But there's nothing to see or do in Cottonwood.

It is true that many of our visitors stay in Cottonwood and spend their time in one of the surrounding towns.

Cottonwood is the gateway to attractions such as the Red Rocks of Sedona (14mi), Verde Canyon Railroad train ride(6mi); Blazin' M Ranch dinner/show(3mi) and, Out of Africa Wildlife Preserve(10mi). All within a few minutes drive from the hotel.

Cottonwood, the Heart of the Verde Valley, still hasn't expanded to Sedona prices--making it a smart choice for travelers.

We bought a package deal for the ride, room and meal; ie. Verde Canyon Railroad, Cottonwood Inn room and Blazin' M Ranch meal and theatre. We had no idea what we would be getting into. Believe me when I say that all three were absolutely AWESOME! The room was wonderful but the staff was so sweet and helpful. We hope to go back to visit them again.
